Leaps & Bounds is a unique Summer Program designed especially to meet the individual needs of children with Autism and other developmental delays.  A highly structured environment is provided and directed by a trained special education teacher and two professional staff assistants. We have small group ratios, giving each child the individual attention that he or she needs. Goals and objectives for each child are designed and assessed weekly.

Each morning from 9am-12pm the children

The afternoon consists of community based instruction which includes: activities designed to increase fine and gross motor skills, as well as language and muscular development. Children learn to transfer their social skills to the environment in which they live. They attend wonderfully planned, fun filled field trips from 12pm – 4pm such as: swimming with dolphins, horseback riding, visiting the petting zoo, The Parrot Jungle and Dandy Bear; swimming in the ocean and the pool, and much, much more!

This much needed program gives children a head start for the fall, as they make “Leaps & Bounds” building self esteem while socializing, interacting and just plain Ole’ Having Fun!

Each morning from 9am-12pm the children experience three hours of intensive, hands on, educational training, behavior modification andcognitive sensory based activities. Art, computer technology instruction and sensory & music group therapy are planned for the morning session as well. 
The afternoon consists of community based instruction which includes: activities designed to increase fine and gross motor skills, as well as language and muscular development. Children learn to transfer their social skills to the environment in which they live.
